Nope, ALSA drivers don't do mixing in the kernel at least as far as I know. I just tested my sound card (C-Media 8738) which seems to only support single-open in ALSA as well. :\ Also, I am pretty sure full duplex doesn't have anything to do with this problem, but I may be wrong. Chris
