You can move in manually, e.g. to ~/.Desktop or .kde/Desktop but why isn't his default. (For users who put files there? Does not sound a good reason to me) Actually, this is no complaining as I do not like the abilities of kab, anyway, and thus don't use it. And I surely must admit, that programs like Netcape/Mozilla do not handle it any better when it comes to bookmark files. And as always, exceptions define the rules.
