-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi Jamie,
As I wrote to Jeff, it would be best to explain in Debian Policy why debian packages should not install files in /opt, with preferably a short sentence clarifying that it is practically impossible to assure administrator's assent (that is in our interpretation). I am not obsessed with installing files in /opt, it was an idea offered by one of the users in debian-kde and it looked plausible at that time. Neither am I trying to set a precedent, as Chris is responsible for KDE packages not me. I am going to help lower his load; I had volunteered for kdemultimedia a long time ago since I am developing for kde multimedia player... Thanks, - -- Eray Ozkural (exa) <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Comp.
