The trick (at least for me) was to remove the crypto, get the kdelibs3 and kdebase sources, recompile them and then reinstall. It seems that when you recompile the ssl stuff is automatically included. NB: I found this tip somewhere on google, but I can't find it right now. Some explanation might be in there. NB: Recompiling only kdebase or kdelibs3 might be enough; I did not bother to check.
