Hello all, today I got me an email account at the german freemail-provider gmx. Since I am behind a firewall at work I tried to fetch my emails with pop3 over sll but somehow this attempt failed. I would like to track the problem down but even the --nofork option did not put out any helpful messages in addition to the popup that contained:
Error while connecting to pop.gmx.net What can I do to solve this problem. I already tried to run fetchmail -ssl -v and this seems to work (with the little problem that the mail is lost somewhere on my notebook because I have not configured any local MTA (at least I don't remember doing so). I am running the latest packages from sid (including the 2 crypto-packages for kde). Any help would be appreciated! Olaf
