I simply modified kdm's own Xsession orion:exa$ cat /etc/kde2/kdm/Xsession #!/bin/sh # $XConsortium: Xsession /main/10 1995/12/18 18:21:28 gildea $ # # # $XFree86$ export KDEDIRS=/usr:/usr/local/kde # invoke global X session script . /etc/X11/Xsession orion:exa$ This seems to be the cleaner way, I wonder if this could be incorporated into a debconf interface for debian? What would you think Ivan? If that doesn't seem desirable perhaps we could add a small documentation in the debian kdm package explaining this, and we could even make the export KDEDIRS line the default since it's quite reasonable for general use.
