I have the same combination of Debian Potato and KDE 2.1.2, and it works for me. There is a noticeable delay after the pop-up comes and goes that I had attributed to my 233 MHZ processor. I use a high speed (always on) ISP. If you have to wait for a modem connection and download, the delay would be even longer. Al Hawley
