I have'nt run KDE in almost a year, so i do a fresh install from
Debian sid with apt-get install task-kde.Everything goes well and
i am using and liking Konqueror a lot.

My truetype fonts are working and my ATI rage128 card with XFree-4.02
has the render extension. So i try for anti-aliasing. I read this list
and some how-to articles for the requirements.

Then i add the path for truetype fonts to XftConfig; in XF86Config i
comment out the paths to Type1 and truetype; XFree is set to load type1
and freetype. Next i stop xfs-xtt and restart X.

Now my truetype fonts are not there and there is no anti- aliasing.
Apparently XftConfig is not read.I assume the Debian pkgs have Xft
enabled QT and i have set QT_XFT=1
What am i missing?
