Using a Pentium MMX 200MHz overclocked to 250MHz with 64MB,
Konqueror (and KDE in general) is a bit slow. The problem
seems to be the memory needs of KDE, which unfortunately are
quite high for my computer. :-(
This is, BTW, the same problem with Mozilla (and StarOffice
also).
The size of recent programs is getting so much bigger that it
is often the case where one can't use newer software with the
same hardware that one used to use.
It would be nice if it were possible to cut the corners and
just build smaller versions of these programs for computers
with low profile. :-(
