Sorry, this is obviously not a KDE problem (xdpyinfo doesn't show the RENDER extension either). I'll re-ask on the X list, large amounts of searching gave me some ideas what might be wrong. If anyone know the answer though, don't hesitate :-) -Yours Malte #8-)
