kbuildsycoca rebuilds the configuration cache as if it has never been created in the first place..whereas during login (as well as other times...every x seconds, etc...) it's only an incremental update...and it seems that with all the changing going on the cache seems to get fubared... kbuildsycoca is your friend. :) Ivan -- ---------------- Ivan E.
