Hi, apparently there’s again the question whether we still need openjdk-8 in sid for bootstrapping JVM-based languages and/or utilities. This is independent of the question whehter it should be there to ease backports or because people might otherwise turn to Canonical’s commercial offer or whether it can be supported in sid with not too high effort (given it’s maintained with an active upstream, I’d say yes).
Last time I asked the answer was a vague yes; is this still the case?
