I believe Mechtilde wants to create a proper Debian package. (ITP: #929477). Emmanuel also uploaded a new version of libjoda-time-java today. From what I can tell it includes the LocalDate class. I suspect that either the symlink is not correct or the jar file is not on your classpath. Regards, Markus
