Thank you!

Besides the more verbose package descriptions, I would very much like to
see a smallish mini tutorial somewhere on wiki.debian.org about how to use
your package to get some simple application run on the phone.

I know, this does not completely depend on your SDK, but once everyone
understands
the basic process, I am sure this will dramatically improve the adoption of
your package.

As a sidenote, Debian's BOINC source package for a few months now now also
ships with
sources for Android. Should one of you feeling close to volunteer computing,
then
I would very much like some input on what is missing having your SDK installed
and
the BOINC sources, to get that application compiled.

Oh, I see some misunderstanding in what Android SDK *Tools* are. Sadly they
won't help
you much with developing and compiling Android applications. These are more of
a debugging
and profiling tools that allow you to connect to running Android device,
inspect what
processes are running inside, monitor memory usage, view system logs etc.

For GUI applications, HierarchyViewer for example can show you the widget tree,
inspect how
widgets are drawn, how long do layout/painting operations take etc. See some
URLs I've
included here, or read manual pages of androidsdk-tools I wrote and that are to
great
extent based on those (CC Attribution 2.5 licensed) web pages.

So, sorry to say, for BOINC Android sources, this won't be of much help.

Regards,

Jakub
