I do not use maven helper usually but java helper, so I can't help.
Could be a patch on pom to add manifest.
Needed, not really indeed. However Java policy [0] specifies, even for
library that classpath should be set.
By the way I tried a first build and it failed on clean target with
svn-buildpackage (see below).
It works I build the package directly.
