Package: default-jre-headless
Version: 1:1.6-40
Severity: minor
Hi
Long description states, that on amd64, that package will draw
openjdk-6-jre-headless as dependency. This is true, but it is also true
for i386, powerpc, armel and number of other architectures. I believe
that long description was created when dependency for amd64 was openjdk
and something different (gcj?) fo all other architectures, and was not
updated since.
As dependency may change on each architecture (that happened before, as
changelog states), I suggest to remove following fragment from long
description:
"which is openjdk-6-jre-headless for amd64"
Stating that this package will draw as dependency recommended Java for
user's architecture should be enough.
Best regards
Mirosław Zalewski

kfreebsd and the Hurd still use gcj; the package description is always created
at package build time, so it's kept up to date even if the default changes.
