Russel Winder brought to our attention[1] that there is a new upstream release, just announced yesterday that fix an important regression[2] introduced with 1.7.7. I just prepared a new upstream release and committed the changes (well just update changelog and pull the new tarball). Would you take a look at that when you have a chance?
