Hello Niels and the Debian Java list,

I'm totally confused with git, can you explain me how to build Eclipse
from a fresh checkout?
I did:

git clone git://git.debian.org/pkg-java/eclipse.git

git-buildpackage fails. I have all dependencies installed, but it looks
like it cannot find the upstream sources. I have those errors:

mh_clean
make[1]: Leaving directory
`/home/ludo/Projects/onAlioth/pkg-java.git/eclipse'
   dh_clean
 dpkg-source -i -I -b eclipse
dpkg-source: info: using source format `3.0 (quilt)'
dpkg-source: info: building eclipse using existing
./eclipse_3.5.2.orig.tar.bz2
dpkg-source: error: cannot represent change to
eclipse/eclipse-build-generatedScripts.tar.bz2: binary file contents changed
dpkg-source: error: add eclipse-build-generatedScripts.tar.bz2 in
debian/source/include-binaries if you want to store the modified binary
in the debian tarball
dpkg-source: warning: file eclipse/eclipse/label.properties has no final
newline (either original or modified version)
dpkg-source: warning: file
eclipse/eclipse/plugins/org.eclipse.pde/build.properties has no final
newline (either original or modified version)
dpkg-source: warning: file
eclipse/eclipse/plugins/org.eclipse.rcp/build.properties has no final
newline (either original or modified version)

I can build packages from svn or bzr repositories with no trouble, but
with git it just doesn't work ;-(

Thanks,
Ludovic
