-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi,
this message is about taking care of people that are missing in action in Alioth's pkg-java team. What have I done? I've removed many of the MIA people now. Thanks to Niels Thykier for assisting me. We have started by white listing all people that are known to us as being more or less active. From the remaining list we have filtered out everyone who has committed some code to either svn or git during the last 12 months. I have removed the remaining people from the project. What can you do if you wanted to stay? Just login into Alioth, go to the project page and click the link for joining the team. Some team admin will happily reconfirm your membership. Why didn't I ask for permission? The membership list is public and that is why anyone could have just generated a list of MIA people from that information. That could embarrass people who have contributed to Debian in past. I want to avoid such problems. I will never publish a list of people that got removed by me - not even the number of them. Why didn't i play the ping-everybody-individually-handle-bouncing-email-wait-ping-again-wait-again game? It is too bureaucratic and time consuming. Everybody is invited to join again!
