Give it a bit more time for everybody to to digest all the fun announcements. I am sure there will be some really great cooperation and cross-fertilisation in the future. Some GNU Classpath hackers have already been spotted on the Sun OpenJDK mailinglists asking how they can help out with librating the rest of the code (the Sun core class libraries have some encumbered parts that Sun is not allowed by their partners to release under the GPL and GNU Classpath might be able to plug in the holes). And from the patches on the classpath list it also seems GNU Classpath hackers are already concentrating some of their efforts on those parts where the free software projects are already ahead, hoping that means that more good code will make it into a larger free java universe in the future.
