retitle 212863 [PROPSAL] New java policy including tools to manage the changes thanks

More or less, it tries to change the way in which java packagess are made. I understand, that the main debian policy is a a document, which enforces 'common practise'. IMO, the debian java policy is different, as it is a document, which describes some rules, which are only usefull, if all packages agree on them (like the virtual packages now or the scipts in the proposal) and implement them. It's not a ammendment but a replacement, as IMO the old policy does not work properly. It also tries to fill most of the holes, which the old policy left open (see the 'quetions' section). I don't expect to have this changes implemented before sarge is released. >and you need people >(strictly speaking Debian developers) who second your proposals. Just Yes, thats why I sent this bugreport. Sorry, that it wasn't titled properly. >package). That's exactly, why I'm sending this now as a PROPOSAL to the java-common pakage: to get the feedback if this changes are acceptable. [scripts] >I can include these in the java-common package but I will not replace >the Java Policy. These scripts need to prove their usability first >before they can be made mandatory. Yes, I understood that. They are not meant as the 'last word', but I also wanted them to get a broader audiance. I will add wishlist bugs to the JVM packages and try to get a patch into mpkg-j2sdk, so that they can be started to use in packaging scripts and bootstrap scripts. Thanks for the feedback!
