Why don't  you contact  the author  and ask him  to change  the license?
Maybe he  won't :'(  I've ITP  jta and jdbc-ext.   They are  both Binary
licenses from Sun (non-free :'( ). I did not ask them, but it's probably
not a good idea?.. Let us know your what happens?
