$ dpkg -S libgcj.spec libgcj4-dev: /usr/lib/libgcj.spec
Any particular need for 3.4 over 3.3? You may have other issues like classpath, since the gcj package depends on gcj-3.3. Also, can you elaborate on why you are compiling with gcj and using the Sun 1.4 JDK?
