Should improve port speed. [...] There were several sloppy items in the Eclipse source for building native libraries that have been fixed upstream in the 3.1 source. The build from source for Linux PowerPC GTK uncovered a number of them, and the Eclipse team has been pretty responsive[0]. However, with our initial target of 3.0.1, the workarounds Jerry mentions will be necessary.
