Yes. The reason is that I did not yet have time to update the package.
And what about Tomcat5 - still bleeding edge, but some people> are checking it out on less critical sites.
Simply download the binary distribtion from the Jakarta project and unpack it. There's no reason you could not try Tomcat 5 on a Debian system.
