I've packaged the latest 2.0 series rxtx software for debian stable.
The package passes lintian. You can find my binary and source packages
at http://www.innovationsw.com/~jaiger/downloads/debian/
The only issues I see with the package, relative to your 1.5preX
package, is that it may be slightly incompatible. That is, your 1.5
package didn't work for me with Sun's Java CommAPI release. I think
that's a feature of the 1.5 release and not necessarily your package.
I chose to package 2.0 (as opposed to 2.1) as it is documented to work
with Java CommAPI. I have successfully used my package with some
CommAPI software already.
