wanted to pass this on to the java list, which I listen in on ... If you run blackdown current woody jdk with netbeans 3.2.1 on unstable platform (all latest/greatest as of 9:43 AM EST Oct 4), you cannot debug because clicking on debug=>attach throws an exception re RuntimePermission related to access of dt_shmem library
netbeans folks claim this doesn't happen on other platforms so they're bypassing the problem I don't tend to use JPDA at the moment so this isn't a problem and I can always fall back to running netbeans in a WinNT environment to do my debugging, but .... I'ld rather keep to Linux whereever possible. Suggestions? How do we resolve this? -------- Original Message -------- Subject: [Issue 15720] - attempts to load dt_shmem and generates RuntimePermission exception Date: 4 Oct 2001 10:28:54 -0000 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > ---------- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED][SMTP:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: Thursday, October 04, 2001 6:28:54 AM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: [Issue 15720] - attempts to load dt_shmem and generates >RuntimePermission exception > Auto forwarded by a Rule > http://openide.netbeans.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=15720 [EMAIL PROTECTED] changed: What |Old Value |New Value ================================================================================== Status|RESOLVED |CLOSED ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2001-10-04 03:28 PDT ------- Worksforme -> Closed. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
