you can do whatever you want with your debian system. things get messy if you
want to package something. could you be a little more precise?
as far as i know, there is no fully jdk1.2.2 compatible package in debian
distribution (please read java faq to understand the reason) and kaffe is
ages behind jdk1.2.2.
i see lots of difficulties developing something that needs jdk1.2.2 and then
giving it to kaffe but i never did it and maybe i'm completely wrong. :)
