Un ottima alternativa è Xen (open source), funziona è in produzione e
con ottime prestazioni. http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/Research/SRG/netos/xen/
Un altra alternativa è UML ma le prestazioni sono inferiori rispetto a
Xen. http://user-mode-linux.sourceforge.net/
Infine ma non l'ho testato c'è: http://linux-vserver.org/ che promette
come xen prestazioni delle macchine virtuali parì a quelle delle
macchine reali.
