As soon as you When I lately asked Oracle about Debian and a support contract, they said: "We don't support Debian." To my question, what would happen if I buy a support contract, they said, that there will be no support even if I pay a 24x7 support contract, so I can as well throw the money down the sewer. > run into anything that might be distribution-related Oracle Support will > bill you T&M to resolve the issue. They gave the appearance of wanting to not deal with the issue at all, rather than resolve it on an hourly rate basis, which I consider MUCH WORSE. That effectively rules out Oracle on Debian when a support contract is required for any reason(s). Best, --Toni++
