Why not just purchase the machine from a company that sells them with gigE cards and Linux installed, tested, and working? VA Linux http://www.valinux.com is one company that will sell machines with gigE cards fully running. Unfortunately VA ships with Red Hat pre-loaded, but Wichert is a VA employee and he's been quite helpful whenever I have had problems getting Debian running properly on VA hardware. ;) -- http://www.coker.com.au/bonnie++/ Bonnie++ hard drive benchmark http://www.coker.com.au/postal/ Postal SMTP/POP benchmark http://www.coker.com.au/projects.html Projects I am working on http://www.coker.com.au/~russell/ My home page
