Sorry to go of subject but vserver is "more elegant" http://www.solucorp.qc.ca/miscprj/s_context.hc It is RedHat based but there are versions for Debian. One of then in unstable. I have played with it a bit and hope to start offering hosting based on it in a month or 2.
