I'll believe you haven't blocked it explicitly, but have you checked using tcpdump that GRE response packets indeed appear on the outside ethernet of pc1? > Umm just odd, pptpd logs, but not pppd ones, umm .. any way to check > if pptpd it's really launching the pppd ?
