I think I tested under Windows 2000. You might be able to do some performance tweaking on the samba server side, this link might be useful: http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/samba/chapter/book/appb_01.html For performance tweaking on the client side, I guess you should consult some Windows documentation ;) Upgrading to samba 2.2.* instead of 2.0.* might help too.
