setting up my own apt source

Hi all,

I need to set up an apt source for my work, where we can store our custom
made packages and kernels. I know that this can be done using
dpkg-scanpackages, but I can't find any help on that besides the
manpages. Does anybody know of a FAQ or HOWTO?
