Thanks for doing that!I agree that putting version numbers in package descriptions adds very little value to said descriptions and it makes translators work a lot harder.
Maybe we should try to issue bug reports more systematically when we encounter such descriptions, especially for the ones that evolve very often like linux-image-*?
