Hello. There is a problem with fetching translations via DDTSS (I didn't try the email interface). Right now for packages with no translations, the oldest available description is fetched. For example translating kanjidic to german (but seen as well with akonadiconsole, libfuse-dev, libphonon-dev and libpolylib64-8):
kanjidi was fetched via DDTSS and this version was translated: http://ddtp.debian.net/ddt.cgi?desc_id=4387&language=de (package description is still active in lenny and squeeze). After that you could fetch kanjidic again, retrieving this version: http://ddtp.debian.net/ddt.cgi?desc_id=82333&language=de (active in wheezy and sid). So far so good, but only the translation for wheezy and sid are seen by the user. That is because right now only the translations for testing and sid are updated. Translations for stable and oldstable stay the same (see ftp://ftp.debian.org/debian/dists/squeeze/main/i18n/). Either it should be impossible to translate old package descriptions or the translations for stable and oldstable should be updated as well. Thanks for looking into this problem, so translators won't do useless work :) Erik -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-i18n-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
