Several translators are using poedit. However, this package (which I maintained for some time in the past) does no longer have a dedicated maintainer.
So, if you're a translator who cares about his|her tools and are considering doing something else than translating, then this package is awaiting for you. This is not a very complicated package but it probably needs some love and maybe cleaning. There is no need to be a Debian Developer or even a Debian maintainer for this. I would be happy to sponsor uploads for that package. Indeed, this package could become a good "learning package" for someone who is currently in the New Maintainer Process or is considering to apply as DD or DM. --
