Hi all,

since a new round of proofreading started recently and there is still
some time until Lenny is released I suggest to ensure that packages uses
the proper binary prefixes such as kibibyte (kiB) instead of kilobyte (kB).
The first uses power of 2 while the second (a SI unit) uses powers of 10.

Please see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Binary_prefix for details.

Quoting this page:
As of 2007 this naming convention has not gained widespread use, but its
use is growing. It is strongly supported by many standardization bodies
and technical organizations, such as IEEE, CIPM, NIST, and
SAE.[3][2][4][5] In particular, on March 19, 2005 the IEEE standard IEEE
1541-2002 (Prefixes for Binary Multiples) has been elevated to a
full-use standard by the IEEE Standards Association after a two-year
trial period.[6]

This (not so new) standard helps to avoid misunderstandings and is just
the proper way to specify units in computer area.
