About the license: Should it be translated? I doubt that there exists an official translation of the license so the English one should be used!?I have been told that no, the licence text should not be translated (eventhough there are a few languages that have). As I understand it translations must be prepared by lawyers and possibly OKed by the FSF.
Does this mean the file gpl.po should simply be copied into the language directory?
FYI, there are unofficial translations of the GPL on the Gnu website (not one for my language yet), but I don't know of any official translations yet. That's something that would be worth doing, if Gnu could get funding for it (legal translations are more expensive), to provide for litigation situations we all hope won't eventuate.
