As promised during the last d-i meeting, I intend to fix the obvious (i.e.
those
which do not need knowledge of a particular language) wrong variables
substitution.
Before I proceed, here's my review of the situation at the time of this writing;

missing vars: variables not in the translated msgstr (but existing in the
original msgid)
extra vars: variables in the msgstr which do not appear in the original msgid

(*) means I consider this a mistake and will fix it
