in the past I noticed that often the encoding of descriptions was wrong. The file was UTF-8 encoded but send back as a latin1 file. Also many other errors happened accros many different files. That's why I suggest that you accept larger patches (maybe against the translated Packages file or a similar text based solution) which fix these issues for many descriptions at once. Since this kind of patches doesn't need a review it should be possible for a few people (translations coordinaters) to commit this without starting a new review cycle. This way it would also be possible to fix thousands of typos at once as I like to do. Also the french team likes such changes ...
