[As usual, this mail could have been sent directly to Denis since this is about the details of implementation of the w.d.o/intl/l10n pages, but I keep sending this to this ML in the fool hope that we can get interrest from other people ;]
Hello, I see from the source of transmonitor-check that you disabled the stating of pot files, preventing us to retrieve the number of string to translate in them. For example, I'd like to see how big are each templates of http://www.debian.org/intl/l10n/po-debconf/pot instead of having to download them to check manually. I just tested, and msgfmt -o /dev/null --statistics file.pot does not issue any warning about fields with default values. I use gettext 0.12.1-6 and can't find anything about that in the changelogs of gettext so I guess this works for old versions as well, even if I seem to remember the contrary... Denis, could you check that it works on the machine running the scripts, and if yes, apply the attached patch, and rerun the complete tests so that this information gets usable at page generation time ? Thanks, Mt. -- Each language has its purpose, however humble. Each language expresses the Yin and Yang of software. Each language has its place within the Tao.
