Well, I believed by mistake that the problem was not of groff but of man-db so I did not imagine to check with groff_1.16-1 although I knew that Sano-san sent the patch. My intention was as follows: Unfortunately 'man foo' does not display Japanese characters at all with japanese manual pages but, of course, 'man foo' works well with english manual pages.
