Hi all, These are a series of simplified replies from one of the pkg-gnome maintainers on IRC which means there might have been a thing or two which they have forgotten and there is a bit of planning and work to do before the last bits of transition are put to execution in unstable and ultimately to testing :- <fatal> shirish: poppler is still in preparation, but not handled by pkg-gnome and not blocking anything since mbiebl reverted the change in evince so 3.8 builds with old poppler. <mbiebl> yeah, basically all of at, aside from gnome-desktop <fatal> shirish: the remaining push is a multi-transition involving gnome-desktop, gnome-settings-daemon, gnome-control-center, gnome-session, etc... <fatal> shirish: they can't be updated separately AFAIK but I haven't investigated the details, mbiebl knows better. <shirish> fatal: so are you saying all of them would have to be updated in one-go ? <fatal> yes <fatal> I'm betting mbiebl will in a not too distant future file a transition bug where the title involves "gnome" which will be interesting to read for anyone eagerly awaiting movement. so at the very end, 'in not too distant future' hopefully mbiebl does file a transition with the name gnome so gotta keep the eyes peeled on http://release.debian.org/transitions/.
