If I am not completely mistaken, the actual mail is still stored in mbox files, isn't it? Wouldn't this folders.db happen to be just an index file or so? > I've shutdown and restarted evolution > and when I do, the Inbox folder shows a number of unread e-mails (487) > but when I click on the Inbox folder it shows nothing. I would (after shutting down evolution and making a backup copy of course) delete the folders.db (and probably also all the *index, *cmeta and *summary files and all the other cruft and leave only the actual mbox files in place. I just tried that for my ~/.evolution/mail/local and all the mail is still there. thanks, Johannes -- http://www.infoe.de/ -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
