Maybe I'll move the bulk of that new section to an entirely new page where there is room to do a complete detailed example.

Maybe we should sync each other before puting so much additional stuff into the documents.

Probably the easiest way to sync is to leave review comments in the merge request:

https://salsa.debian.org/go-team/go-team.pages.debian.net/-/merge_requests/12

I also sometimes check OFTC IRC (rhansen).

A talk and discussion would be great. More experts thinking about how to improve the workflow is always a good thing.

To be clear, are you volunteering to give the talk and lead the discussion yourself? Or are you looking for a volunteer?

Yes, I can lead that with my experience and things I learnt from updaing both golang-google-api and golang-google-cloud packages to more recent versions.

I have submitted a talk in mini DebConf Hamburg. And also submitted a workshop during DebConf. Hopefully during the workshop in DebConf. We can hands on together in the challenge to solving build-deps cyrcles in real packages as a practice and map out a standardized workflow for Debian Go Team to handle circular Go build-dependency in the Debian.

I would like to update the Go team pages as much as reasonable before the discussion so that people can reference our latest thinking.

I think the stuff you put there are too much

Would you leave a review comment in the merge request explaining what you mean by "too much"?

and not really related to what we need for breaking the circular Go build-dependency in the Debian.

The merge request's overall goal is to explain why golang-*-dev dependency cycles are not usually a problem in practice, and to recommend leaving them alone (don't attempt to break them).

Is participation limited to those who can physically attend? If so, I would not be able to join.

No worries, hopefully there are others may join or should we have a Go Team Sprint by your convince?

BTW, anyone of you guys may be able to join?

Best regards,

-Andrew
