I prefer using gophian for my packaging since it's much more reliable in my experience (dh-make-golang chokes on certain packages from time to time). It also has several quality-of-life features not present in dh- make-golang that make the packaging process a bit quicker, like filling in the ITP bug number, generating an ITP message, and prompting you when required to select the intended package type, source package name, and binaries to include (and time adds up when I'm working through large dependency trees). > I noticed Nicolas is working on > https://github.com/Debian/dh-make-golang/pull/240 which seems to have > been one of the motivations for Maytham to write Gophian. I'm currently able to keep up with any major changes in dh- make-golang. The Go Team's infrastructure overall and go-team.pages.d.n need more attention at the moment. > [1] https://manpages.debian.org/unstable/gophian/gophian.1.en.html > [2] https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/gophian -- Maytham Alsudany Debian Maintainer maytham @ OFTC maytha8 @ Libera
