That's good news, if it resolves the circular dependency conflict / stalemate in prometheus-{client-golang,client-model,common} that I wrote about in another thread.
However, the upstream go.mod for prometheus-{client-golang,common} specifies protobuf v1.5.2, and the Debian packages currently contain patches from me to make them build against protobuf 1.3.x. It would be good to drop those patches once the dust has settled, and subsequently drop the golang-github-golang-protobuf-1-3-dev alternative Depends.
