Package: libc6
Version: 2.3.2.ds1-10
Severity: important

Hello,

I'm seeing some very strange on my firewall (and only there). I'm
running testing/unstable there. When I tried to compile the kernel
this morning I got:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] echo $LD_LIBRARY_PATH
<empty>

[EMAIL PROTECTED] make
  HOSTCC scripts/docproc
/lib/libc.so.6: undefined reference to [EMAIL PROTECTED]'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
  make[1]: *** [scripts/docproc] Error 1
  make: *** [scripts] Error 2

[EMAIL PROTECTED] LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/lib make
  HOSTCC scripts/docproc
  HOSTCC scripts/kallsyms
  CC scripts/empty.o
  HOSTCC scripts/mk_elfconfig
  MKELF scripts/elfconfig.h

So explicitly setting LD_LIBRARY_PATH fixes this, but there is only on ld-linux
installed, so why I should matter...

I cannot even reproduce this on my server system, which is also running
testing/unstable
